Knox County Family & Children First Council connects the dots to eliminate redundancy and bring resources together for planning, monitoring and improving outcomes for families and children.

How We Do It

-
Knox FCFC provides Service Coordination to help families who receive services from multiple systems. It brings children, families and service providers together in a way that fosters communication, coordination and collaboration. (See Service Coordination)

-
Knox FCFC facilitates the Community Team (a multi-system team), comprising of agencies and individuals who are employed by member agencies of Council. Community Team meets twice per month to provide resources, suggestions, and funding for families in need of Service Coordination and High Fidelity Wraparound Services. All financial determinations for services for FCFC families are made during Community Team with all financial oversight managed by the Executive Board. (See Service Coordination)

-
Knox FCFC oversees Early Intervention through Help Me Grow. It provides coordinated early intervention services to parents of eligible children under the age of 3 with developmental delays or disabilities. Families work with their teams to create an Individual Family Service Plan (IFSP) to use their existing supports and resources-- and build on them-- to learn how to enhance their child's learning and development. (See Early Childhood)
